Ariana II in Kilburn, London, NW6

Despite it's humble location on Kilburn High Road, Ariana II is sister to Ariana, a popular Afghan restaurant based in New York. Selling plentiful Afghan dishes at affordable prices, Ariana II is a modest restaurant and considered by many of Kilburn’s residents to be a hidden gem.

Once inside, the restaurant feels decidedly rustic, with exposed brick walls and several small Afghan landscapes comprising the only décor. Whilst the decor puts you at ease immediately, the highlight here is definitely the food.

Afghan food is influenced by many different cultures, and this is reflected in the varied menus available. Think tikkas and curries, stews and fat dumplings, and tender, slow cooked kebabs. Afghan cuisine is a cultural melting pot, aided by the country's varied climate and abundance of seasonal crops, evident in the delicious and flavoursome of dishes on offer at Ariana II.

If you want wine with your meal, the restaurant has a ‘bring your own’ policy. They do, however,  serve authentic, tasty, non alcoholic drinks such as minty yoghurt dough or a wide variety of freshly squeezed juices. Ariana II is a secret that residents of Kilburn try to keep to themselves, considered to be one of the finest restaurants in the area and with affordable prices too.
