The Winery in Maida Vale, London W9

Maida Vale is a world away from the crowded streets a few miles away. It’s distinctly village feel is a huge attraction for those wishing to live in a leafy, residential area of London, with an easy commute to work, shopping and world class entertainment.

Maida Vale itself is home to a number of famous attractions, such as the Canal Café Theatre, Maida Vale Studios and Maida Vale Village, leaving no shortage of things to see, do and explore in the area.  Famous for its picturesque surroundings and charming riverbank setting, Maida Vale is renowned for its community of houseboats, adding a colourful and European flavour to the district.

When Robert Browning coined the term ‘Little Venice’ he was describing the point where the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal meets the Regents Canal. Over time, it has come to refer to the whole area at the south of Maida Vale.

One of the area’s most popular attractions is The Winery. Here you’ll will find an extensive collection of wine lining the wooden shelves of this former Victorian pharmacy.

From bottles of Burgundy and Claret, to extremely rare finds, The Winery has become a hot spot for wine buffs, tourists and locals looking for vintage and new wines from small producers, from specialist regions of Germany, France, Italy, Spain and California.

All of their wines have been personally sourced by the owner.

The Winery also hosts regular wine-tasting evenings at the shop in W9. It’s all very relaxed and informal - possibly the best way to enjoy sampling seven of their wines!

Open from Monday – Saturday from 11am-9.30pm and Sunday 12pm-8pm, The Winery is the ideal place to enjoy an afternoon tipple with work colleagues and friends. Contact - 020 7286 6475
