Affordable Warhol at the A&D Gallery in Marylebone, London W1

The A&D Gallery on Chiltern Street in Marylebone hosted this October the work of pop-art master, Andy Warhol, will be lighting up the A&D Gallery, Marylebone, in an exhibition titled, 'Affordable Warhol’.

Appropriately, entrance to the exhibition at the Chiltern Street gallery was free. Visitors and Warhol enthusiasts had the opportunity to view first-hand selections of Warhol’s commissioned Posters, including record and book covers, illustrations and rare pieces such as the Jonas Mekas collection promoting screenings of his early movies.

The posters, spanning Warhol’s entire working life, are all pieces actually created by the artist, not reproductions of existing images, and were available for purchase with a price range of £100 for a 1950s advert to £10,000 for an original drawing.

Affordable Warhol’ was on exhibit at the A&D Gallery until the 8th of November, but there are a number of other exhibitions available by the end of the year. To visit the gallery in Marylebone, the closest tube station is Baker Street.
