Warwick Square, Pimlico, London, SW1
- by CityWest Residential
Pimlico is well known for both its garden squares and it’s stunning regency architecture. Many of these squares are private or quasi-private, including Warwick Square which only allows access to key holders. These key holders are local residents and community members; if you live in Pimlico you can apply to have a key to the Square of your own.
Warwick square is one of the most famous in Pimlico; an oasis of calm in a bustling metropolis. St Gabriel’s Anglican church is located within the square: a beautiful and traditional, grade II listed English church built in 1840, in the gothic style. The church has a large and imposing spire that stands at 160 feet tall.
Warwick square was designed and built by Thomas Cubitt in the early 1800s. Cubitt was one of the most prolific builders the country has ever seen; he also worked on Buckingham Palace. Warwick square is a wonderful place to relax, especially during the summer months. Whether you’re reading a book, enjoying a picnic, or spending time with your children, Warwick Square is the perfect place to recuperate, recharge and relax.
