Mele e Pere in Soho, London W1F

Nestled deep in the heart of London, Soho is one of the capital’s most vibrant and exciting areas. Home to an eclectic mix of bars, restaurants and shops, Soho attracts a wide mix of people who are looking to experience its buzzing and happening atmosphere.

Located on Brewer Street, Mele e Pere is one of the area’s coolest restaurants, serving up delicious Italian dishes in informal, quirky surroundings. Taking its name from the Italian for Apples and Pears, a play on the Cockney rhyming slang for stairs, you won’t miss the restaurant’s street level entrance, which is filled with hundreds of Murano glass apples and pears.

The kooky décor continues downstairs in the restaurant where unusual hand-picked trinkets, straight from Italy, are set against vintage furniture and soft lighting in order to create a relaxed, informal dining experience.

In terms of the menu, Mele e Pere provides a taste of the family-run Trattorias of Northern Italy. Using only the finest fresh ingredients, the restaurant’s menu changes daily, offering both classic and contemporary Italian dishes.

The Soho venue is also famous for its must have homemade Vermouth, which you can try either alongside your meal or on its own at their vintage copper Vermouth bar. There’s something for everyone’s taste – from citrus-dry white Vermouth and bittersweet red Vermouth, to their signature range of Vermouth cocktails. You can even book onto one of their Vermouth master classes for £15 per person.
